Getting glam with a makeup lesson

Hey everyone,

This week is a fun recovery week. I am taking a little time off from any treatments or procedures. So I went to see Michelle, the resident makeup artist extraordinaire at FUZION. Next week I’ll be getting some dermaplaning done. Kati, can you explain to everyone [and me] what that is, exactly. I think you mentioned  it gets the “fuz” off your face. Elaborate!

Anyway, here are a few videos where Michelle is teaching me how to apply my glomineral makeup. It’s super healthy and lightweight. And fine to wear even just after chemical peels and other treatments.

  1. Dermaplaning is a specialized procedure designed to smooth the skin and remove excess fine hair. Millions of women search for the perfect way to remove the “peach fuzz” from their faces and bodies. It is perfect for fine hair that is not appropriate for laser hair removal. Most women love the feeling after dermaplaning because it leaves the area silky smooth and camera ready! There are no downsides, except if not performed by a trained professional. Dermaplaning is a specialty in its own right requiring hours of training. MYTH BUSTER: Hair that is removed with Dermaplaning will NOT grow back darker, thicker or more abundant. Fine villous facial hair will only grow back the same way. Warning, most patients find this procedure addictive! Can’t wait for Erica to try it out…This is appropriate for any area covered with fine “peach fuzz!”

Rachel Ray is doing a facial hair removal series next week! She is going to show ladies shaving, plucking, scrubbing hair of their faces!!! Sounds like you have a better deal with dermaplaning…we should call Rachel! :)

I have to admit i’ve been following erica for a few weeks, but hesitated to ask any questions. but i do want to tell you that i was a little skeptical of this makeup topic, but am pleasantly surprised! i actually have come back to check a few times to see if i was doing things right! and i am actually spending more time on myself now in the morning trying out all of these things michelle says. thanks!!

    Hi Robin!
I am so excited that you are watching! I am having so much fun!
Putting your makeup on correctly makes a big difference!
I would encourage you to stop by and see Michelle for an application lesson. FUZION has a great makeup room and then you get to work directly with the professional, learn your colors, etc… :)
Thanks again for following me! More great things to come!
