So I have been using Latisse now for about a month. Brooke Shields is the new spokesperson and is everywhere promoting her beautiful eye lashes! I hadn’t heard of it before, but when I started this medical aesthetic makeover, lengthening my eye lashes was one of the items on my list that Kati scheduled.
Kati reviewed everything with me, but I wanted to share a little bit about Latisse with you [after all, I am supposed to be researching for you and me!]. It promises longer, fuller, darker eye lashes. Here is some info on what I can expect.
I’ll post more videos soon too. Oh, and we have been working on the timeline and a new feature on the site too. The timeline will let you see quickly, at a glance what I’ve done to-date and what we have scheduled. The new feature is going to be a way for you to see what treatments Kati and Dr. G. might recommend for different skin conditions or “problem areas” you want help with.
I thought I would share my attempt to apply my makeup on my own with everyone. Michelle certainly does make it look easy. But I think I am getting the hang of this. My makeup came out okay. Now if the humidity would die down…it isn’t helping my curls!
This week is a fun recovery week. I am taking a little time off from any treatments or procedures. So I went to see Michelle, the resident makeup artist extraordinaire at FUZION. Next week I’ll be getting some dermaplaning done. Kati, can you explain to everyone [and me] what that is, exactly. I think you mentioned it gets the “fuz” off your face. Elaborate!
Anyway, here are a few videos where Michelle is teaching me how to apply my glomineral makeup. It’s super healthy and lightweight. And fine to wear even just after chemical peels and other treatments.
Erica and Kati are most eloquent about fillers, what they do and what it is like to get them.
I thought people would like some basic philosophy about their use in rejuvenation. There are two schools of thought regarding facial aging. One is the loss of facial volume and the other is the skin/muscle laxity, both leading to the descent of facial skin. I feel it is always a combination of the two.
Early aging, usually occurring around the beginning of one’s fourth decade of life usually is more volume loss then skin laxity. (There are always exceptions for those not so genetically blessed or those who have lost significant weight) These people, like Erica, respond so well to fillers. Surgery for them would be premature. As the aging process continues, one could continue to “fill themselves up”, but at the expense of looking more different (with increased facial fullness) than rejuvenated. That is when surgery is indicated. Surgery, at that point, will rejuvenate you without changing you basic facial proportion. There are areas of the face that surgery can not reach. It is in those ares that I would recommend complimentary filling ,with either a deep or superficial fillers, at or around the time of surgery.
Sound confusing? It can be. Surgery is indeed a complicated art. Good injectable (filler) rejuvenation is just as technical and artful in is own right. That is why we at Fuzion divided up our responsibilities. Kati’s amazing injection work, as my surgery, is very impressive when applied in the proper clinical setting. We often combine the two to really maximize your result.
We are dedicated to an in depth personalized evaluation of you and only suggest what you truly need. We have all the state of the art rejuvenating maneuvers in our bag of tricks. We are not limited to “pushing” just a few services.
Please feel free to ask me questions as well, as I love to follow the blog.
So I have to admit, I was a little freaked out today. I’m not sure if it was the needles, the sensations, the uncertainty…
Anyway, everything is still a little swollen and I got some bruising on my lip. I realized the hubby has no idea what I was doing…so we’ll see what he thinks.
My lips are a little bruised. And I’m a little freaked out. I feel swollen and am worried about what my husband is going to think [unless he's following me too...which he's not...he doesn't know what I had done today]! I’ll post later to tell you how today goes and how I am feeling.
HERE IS ME GETTING MY CHEEKS DONE
HERE IS ME GETTING MY LIPS DONE
HERE IS ME GETTING MY FOREHEAD DONE
So what do you think? Would you do it? Did we answer your questions? Am I crazy?
There is no turning back now…tomorrow I go to FUZION for my Fillers & Botox…Kati has talked about making my lips and cheeks more pronounced-getting rid of the wrinkles on my forehead?! I just hope it looks natural and only you who have followed me here know that I have “had work done”…I will post the videos right away so you can see what is going on and happened!
